Amber Heard voiced her opinion on Blake Lively's recent allegations against Justin Baldoni. In an interview with NBC News, Heard opened up about the damaging effects of social media. She stated, "Social media is the absolute personification of the classic saying, ‘A lie travels halfway around the world before the truth can get its boots on.’ I saw this firsthand and up close. It’s as horrifying as it is destructive."
Amber Heard seemed to be indirectly referring to the public trial of her and her ex-husband Johnny Depp. Depp had won the trial, and Heard had faced significant damage in financial and social aspects in 2022.
These comments seemed to come shortly after People's report that Baldoni hired the same PR crisis manager as Johnny Depp did during the pair’s 2022 defamation lawsuit, which he won, as stated in the complaint filed by Lively.

Why Is Blake Lively Suing Justin Baldoni?
Blake Lively and Justin Baldoni co-starred in the film It Ends With Us. This film is an adaptation of Colleen Hoover's novel by the same name. Lively and Baldoni played the main characters of Lilly and Ryle respectively. While Baldoni also worked as the director of the film, Lively was also one of the producers.
During the post-production of the film, an alleged rift developed between Lively and Baldoni after the film underwent a week of reshoots and Lively commissioned a second cut of the film. The edit used in theaters was reportedly the version Lively preferred. Also, Blake Lively's husband Ryan Reynolds wrote a major part of the dialogue in the balcony scene in April 2023, a fact that Baldoni was unaware of.
Baldoni, later in August 2024 hired PR Crisis Manager Melissa Nathan.
In December 2024, Blake Lively sued Baldoni, producer Jamey Heath, and their studio Wayfarer for misconduct and inappropriate working conditions. She alleged Baldoni of improvising intimate scenes shown in the film and inappropriately discussing his private details with her. Lively further alleged that Baldoni and his agents ran a public relations campaign to damage her reputation, which involved social media manipulation, planting negative stories, and amplifying criticism of her in response to her seeking protection on set.
Baldoni was dropped by his talent agency WME ahead of the controversy. Baldoni's lawyer refuted the claims and called them false.
"These claims are completely false, outrageous, and intentionally salacious with an intent to publicly hurt and rehash a narrative in the media."
Blake Lively and Justin Baldoni amidst their controversy gave separate interviews for the promotions of their film.
