Alia Bhatt tests COVID negative: Bollywood actor Alia Bhatt has now tested negative for COVID-19. She updated her fans about her diagnosis on Instagram, posting a photo of herself smiling in a blue sweatshirt, and peach-coloured pyjamas.

The photo's caption read: "The only time being negative is a good thing." Many Bollywood celebrities such as Dia Mirza, Sophie Choudhry and Anil Kapoor commented on Bhatt's post. Her fans are also elated with the news, which was evident with comments such as "you're the strongest" and "the best news of the day."

On April 1, actor Alia Bhatt announced that she had tested positive for COVID-19. "I have immediately isolated myself and will be under home quarantine. I am following all safety protocols under the advice of my doctors, " she wrote in an Instagram post. In the month of March, actor Ranbir Kapoor who is said to be in a relationship with Bhatt had tested positive for the virus. Sanjay Leela Bhansali, the director of her upcoming film Gangubai Kathiawadi had also tested positive for COVID-19. However, he resumed work as soon as he recovered.

Recently, many Bollywood celebrities such as Tara Sutaria, Bhumi Pednekar, Akshay Kumar, Katrina Kaif, Vicky Kaushal, Kartik Aryan, etc have tested positive for the virus.

Meanwhile, actor Alia Bhatt is awaiting the release of her film Gangubai Kathiawadi. She had taken to social media last week to announce the launch of the Telugu teaser of the film, which is based on the life of Gangubai Kathiawadi, known to be a prominent figure in the red light area of Kamathipura in Mumbai. Despite the second wave of COVID-19 pandemic and the resultant closure of theatres in many parts of the country, Gangubai Kathiawadi is scheduled as of yet for a theatrical release on July 30. However, many films, including Kangana Ranaut starrer Thalaivi had to push their release date due to the current situation this month.

Will Gangubai Kathiawadi have a theatrical release as per its schedule? Only time will tell. apart from Bhansali's ambitious biopic, Bhatt is also working on projects like Brahmastra, Darlings and RRR.
