Alia Bhatt COVID Positive: Actor Alia Bhatt has tested positive for COVID-19.
Media reports on April 1 said that the Bhatt has tested positive for coronavirus. Later, Alia Bhatt took to Instagram to confirm the news. She said,”I have immediately isolated myself and will be under home quarantine. I am following all safety protocols under the advice of my doctors.”
In March, actor Ranbir Kapoor and Sanjay Leela Bhansali had been tested positive but it was confirmed that Bhatt had tested negative for the virus and had been self-isolating for precautionary measures. According to a report, the test results of Alia Bhatt arrived on the sets of the Gangubai Kathiawadi film where she was shooting.
Bhatt and Sanjay Leela Bhansali had been shooting together for the upcoming film Gangubai Kathiawadi when the reports of Bhansali testing positive surfaced. Bhansali after recovering from the virus had resumed shooting for the film along with Bhatt. Ranbir Kapoor, who is said to be in a relationship with the Highway star had also recovered and was seen engaging in his late father’s religious ceremony.
In the recent past, many Bollywood stars and television actors have tested positive for the virus. The list includes Tara Sutaria, Fatima Sana Shaikh, Priyal Mahajan and many others. Former cricketer Sachin Tendulkar also tested positive for coronavirus. The recent positive cases can be a worrying sign of the COVID-19 surge that has been seen in many states of India.
Alia Bhatt is officially involved with several projects at the moment. Along with Gangubai Kathiawadi, she is also shooting for Ayan Mukherji’s Brahmastra in which she will be seen acting with Ranbir Kapoor. Another much-awaited film of Bhatt is SS Rajamouli directional RRR which has many leading stars of the Indian film industry such as NT Rama Rao, Rama Charan and others onboard.
