Alia Bhatt Loves Comedy Films, Says She Was Obsessed With Govinda And Karisma Kapoor

Alia Bhatt will be soon seen in Darlings, alongside Shefali Shah and Vijay Varma. The film will be a murder mystery and will be released on August 5. With Darlings, Alia Bhatt makes her debut as a producer, and since the dramedy teaser debuted on July 25, everyone has been talking about it. Bhatt is also making her debut in the comedy genre with this.

In addition to Darlings, the actor will co-star with Ranveer Singh in Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani and Ranbir Kapoor in Brahmastra. In an interview, Singh mentioned Bhatt, expressing interest in working with her on a comedy movie.

In a conversation, Bhatt responded by saying, "Ranveer and I are not doing a comedy, you know. But in real life, I'm very funny. Acting, on the other hand, depends entirely on the writing and the character. The problem is that people don't approach me with comedy because they believe I'm some sort of serious actor. I was ecstatic that comedy and emotion could be combined in such a powerful way. I believe that if I can make you laugh, I can also make you cry."

Alia Bhatt was last seen in Gangubai Kathiawadi, and the film was released OTT after its huge success in theaters.
