Aishwarya Rai Starrer Ponniyin Selvan Release Date And First Look Out

Ponniyin Selvan release date was announced on March 2, 2022,, along with the first look of the upcoming Tamil film starring Aishwarya Rai and Vikram. The much-anticipated film by Mani Ratnam will be a historical drama based on the life of a Chola king.

Mani Ratnam's ambitious directorial project, which will be based on the life of the great Chola king, Rajaraja Chola, will soon be gracing the screens. The first look of the film was shared that gave a glimpse into the characters of the director's dream project. The movie is based on a 1955 Tamil novel of the same name written by Kalki Krishnamurthy. The movie, whose first look and the release date was shared on social media, will be starring Aishwarya Rai, Trsiha, Vikram, Jayam Ravi and Karthi in pivotal roles.

Ponniyin Selvan Release Date And First Look Out

On March 2, 2022, the first looks of the lead actors in the Tamil film, Ponniyin Selvan Part 1 or PS-1, namely, Vikram, Aishwarya, Trisha, Jayam and Karthi, were shared mentioning the release date of the film. The posters were shared on Twitter that showed the leading women in royal attires while the male leads were shown rugged avatars in the war field. The part 1 of the movie will be releasing on September 30, 2022 as mentioned in the posters.

The movie is a Lyca Productions work and had a budget of Rs. 500 crore which makes it the second most expensive Indian film after Akshay Kumar and Rajnikant's 2.0. The film will be having two parts that will depict the life journey of the great South Indian king from Chola dynasty, Rajaraja Chola I.

Aishwarya Rai will be playing the role of Queen Nandini and Mandakini Devi who was known as the The Mute Queen. Vikram will be play the role of Aditya Karikalan, the crown prince while Jayam Ravi will be seen playing the role of Rajaraja Chola in the movie.
