Sara Ali Khan will play a major role in the next Amazon Prime movie, Ae Watan Mere Watan, which begins production this month. The film also stars Varun Dhawan, who revealed in the new teaser clip that Sara Ali Khan would portray a brave freedom warrior in a story that takes place during the 1942 Quit India Movement.
Today, taking to his Instagram handle, Varun Dhawan shared the video in said, "lovely, beautiful" Sara Ali Khan and the "square root of Amrita Singh" will be leading the film, and then changes the style to Khan's famous poetry style, beginning with "Namaste Darshakon". “Freedom fighter powerful like sun, Britishers ho gaye stun, khabar brought to you by Dhawan Number 1…” Dhawan wrote in the caption, “As promised, there you go… I can in no way contain my excitement for this one, how about you?”
Sara Ali Khan also made a post, revealing that she would soon be releasing her first look from the movie. She wrote, "Enough said @varundvn.... Dropping my look from the film soon, stay tuned darshako!"
Varun Dhawan and Sara Ali Khan To Star In Ae Watan Mere Watan:
The suspense movie draws its inspiration from actual events. Darab Farooqui and Kannan Iyer are the writers of Ae Watan Mere Watan. The movie is being made under the banner of Dharma Entertainment and is being produced by Karan Johar, Apoorva Mehta, and Somen Mishra. It is being directed by Kannan Iyer.
The film will be directly released on the OTT platform. Dhawan has announced that the film will be released on Prime Video. Upon release, Prime members in more than 240 countries and territories will be able to watch the Amazon Original Movie.

Coolie No. 1 was the first movie in which Varun Dhawan and Sara Ali Khan appeared together. Sara Ali Khan last appeared in the Dhanush and Akshay Kumar movie, Atrangi Re.
