Television actor Rituraj Singh, aged 59, passed away due to a cardiac arrest on February 19, as confirmed by his close friend and actor Amit Behl. Singh had recently been hospitalised for pancreatic disease treatment. Behl shared, "Yes, he passed away due to cardiac arrest. He was admitted to a hospital some time back for treatment of pancreas, returned home, had some cardiac complications, and passed away."

Rituraj Singh, born on May 23, 1964, was a renowned Indian television actor known for his diverse roles in various TV shows such as Banegi Apni Baat, Jyoti, Hitler Didi, Shapath, Warrior High, Aahat, Adaalat, and Diya Aur Baati Hum. He portrayed the character of Balwant Choudhary in the Colors TV serial Laado and was recently seen as Yashpal in the popular TV serial Anupamaa. Aside from television, Singh also appeared in films like Humpty Sharma Ki Dulhania alongside Varun Dhawan and Alia Bhatt.

Expressing his grief, actor Arshad Warsi tweeted, "I am so saddened to know that Ritu Raj passed away. We lived in the same building, and he was a part of my first film as a producer. I lost a friend and a great actor... will miss you, brother..."
Producer Sandiip Sikcand paid tribute to him, expressing shock and heartbreak. He reminisced about their collaboration on Kahani Ghar Ghar Kii," highlighting Singh's exceptional acting skills and his admirable personality. He said, "I am shocked & heartbroken on hearing the news! Someone posted the news on one of my WhatsApp groups early in the morning and, since, I have just been in shock. I am really saddened by the news. May his soul rest in peace and may his wife and kids get the strength to deal with this loss."
