Who Was Pamela Bach? Baywatch Actor Reportedly Dies By Suicide At 62

Pamela Bach-Hasselhoff, actor and ex-wife of David Hasselhoff, was found dead at her Hollywood Hills home on March 5, 2025. Reports state that the 62-year-old died by suicide from a self-inflicted gunshot wound. Her daughter, Hayley Hasselhoff, reportedly discovered her body.

According to neighbours, Hayley ran out of the house in distress after discovering her mother’s body. Witnesses described seeing a woman, believed to be Hayley, screaming and crying on the street.

“She was hysterical, yelling, screaming, crying on the street. She was crying, saying, ‘I just want to get my car,’” a neighbour told DailyMail. Later, she was seen with police officers who tried to comfort her. “I heard her crying, and somebody was trying to comfort her. Police tried to bring her in the house and close the door, but the door got opened. She was in and out a few times,” the neighbour added.

Neighbours also mentioned that paramedics and police had been called to Pamela’s home multiple times over the years, though the reasons were not always clear. Some residents in the neighbourhood stated that Pamela had a history of conflicts with those around her. A 70-year-old neighbour shared that she often had arguments with others. The man’s wife added, “Our gardener said, ‘Don’t ever tell her my phone number; she wants to hire me, but I don’t want to work for her. She’s crazy. She smokes too much marijuana.’”

Pamela Bach-Hasselhoff and David Hasselhoff were married for 17 years, from 1989 to 2006. She met Hasselhoff while acting with him on the set of the TV series Knight Rider, and the two married in 1989. She went on to star alongside him on drama Baywatch before their divorce in 2006. They have two daughters together, Taylor, born in 1990, and Hayley, born in 1992. Neighbours stated that Hayley lived with her mother at the Hollywood Hills residence.

Following her mother’s passing, Hayley Hasselhoff, who is an actor and model, shared a tribute on social media. She reposted an old picture of her parents from the 1996 grand opening of the Jurassic Park ride at Universal Studios Hollywood. She added a simple white heart emoji over the image, without any caption.

David Hasselhoff, Pamela’s ex-husband, issued a statement after her passing, requesting privacy for their grieving family. “Our family is deeply saddened by the recent passing of Pamela Hasselhoff. We are grateful for the outpouring of love and support during this difficult time, but we kindly request privacy as we grieve and navigate through this challenging time, " he told PEOPLE. 

Authorities have confirmed that an autopsy will be conducted to determine the official cause of death. The investigation into Pamela Bach-Hasselhoff’s passing remains ongoing.
