Popular Actor in Tamil and Malayalam cinema, Arundhati Nair, who shot to fame after the 2016 film Saithan is on life support after encountering a severe bike accident on March 14, at Chennai-Kovalam highway while returning home with her brother. The actor is currently admitted to a hospital and Trivandrum and is said to be in critical condition.
Actor's sister Arathy Nair confirmed the accident news on Monday, March 18 through her social media handle telling her fans that the actor is 'fighting for her life' and asking for everyone's support and prayers. While a fellow actor and friend, Gopika Anil urged on her social media account to financially aid the family to meet her medical requirements.
Actor Arundhati Nair Fighting For Life On Ventilator After Bike Accident
According to the reports of India Today, Nair was riding with her brother on his bike at the Kovalam bypass road, returning home after giving an interview to a YouTube channel when the accident took place. Nair is said to have sustained some serious head injuries while other details of the accident are unknown.
The actor's accident reportedly occurred on March 14 was confirmed by her sister Arathy Nair's statement on March 18 via an Instagram post where she tagged her sister's account and wrote: "We felt the need to clarify the news reported in Tamil Nadu's newspaper and television channels." she further added, "It is true that my sister Arundhati Nair had an accident three days ago." Talking about the actor's health condition she said "She is critically injured and fighting for her life while being kept on a ventilator." The Instagram post also confirmed the hospital where the actor is currently being treated in Trivandrum, Kerela.
Gopika Anil, a fellow actor and friend of Arundhati Nair sought financial aid from followers and fans for the actor struggling for life as she claimed the family is struggling to meet the medical expenses.
Through an Instagram post on her profile, Anil confirmed the accident reports of Nair as well, as she wrote: "My friend Arundhati met with an accident the previous day and is in very critical condition." She added, "As she fights for her life on a ventilator, the daily hospital expenses are becoming too huge to afford. We are doing our part but that seems insufficient to meet the current hospital requirements." She then urged people by also giving the actor's bank details as she wrote: "I request you all to kindly contribute the way you can so that it would be very helpful for her family. Thank you so much."
