Education Minister Varsha Gaikwad has announced Maharashtra State Board Examinations 2021 for the secondary school certificate (SSC) are most likely to be held post-May 1 whereas the higher secondary certificate (HSC) are expected to begin after April 15, 2021.
In an official statement given by the Education minister, Varsha Gaikwad said, “We are considering holding HSC exams after April 15 and SSC exams after May 1. The state is consulting health officials on the possibility of reopening schools for standard 5th to 8th. A decision will soon be taken.”

Generally, the exams for Class X & Class XII begin in March and February respectively. However, the state examinations are being delayed this year due to the COVID-19 pandemic but the Maharashtra State Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education (MSBSHSE) is soon expected to release the SSC and HSC Exam 2021 date sheet on the official website.

Union Education Minister Ramesh Pokhriyal Nishank on December 31 made an announcement which mentioned the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) to conduct board exams for classes 10 and 12 physically from May 4 to June 10, 2021. However, practical examinations are said to be conducted by schools from March 1 and the results will be announced by July 15.
