Another recent video capturing a woman sitting on a man's lap inside a crowded Delhi Metro coach had stirred controversy and sparked discussions on social media. In the video, the woman can be seen confronting other passengers about the scarcity of seats and demanding that a young man vacate his seat for her. When her request is met with refusal, she proceeds to sit forcibly on the seat, asserting, "Humein kya, hum bhi besharam ban jayenge" (I will also become shameless).

The incident led to a commotion, with another male passenger eventually leaving his seat to accommodate her. Throughout the exchange, the woman vocalised her disregard for the situation, stating, "Humein fark nahi padta, aapko fark padega woh bhi abhi nahi raat ko" (It does not matter to me; it will matter to you, and that too, not just now but at night).

Outrage Over Holi Celebration Video

Another video that went viral in March on social media depicting two young girls engaging in a Holi celebration aboard the Delhi metro has sparked widespread outrage and calls for action. The footage shows the girls, dressed in traditional Indian attire, applying coloured powder to each other's faces and engaging in personal gestures, which some viewers found inappropriate for a public setting.

The incident, observed by fellow passengers, drew sharp criticism online, with many condemning the girls' behaviour as unacceptable. Following public outcry, the Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) requested an investigation by Delhi police into the video. The footage gained attention after it was discovered that the women featured in the video were recreating a dance sequence from the 2013 film Ramleela, performing the song Ang Laga De Re.

Initially suspected by some to be a potential deep-fake video, authorities confirmed the authenticity of the footage. Subsequent investigations identified the women as residents of Greater Noida, who admitted to recording the video that went viral on March 21.

Controversial Video of Romantic Act

In a video that surfaced last year in October 2023, a couple was seen engaging in a provocative and intimate act aboard the Delhi Metro. The footage captured the woman taking a sip of a soft drink from a bottle and then transferring the liquid from her mouth to her male companion’s mouth in a playful manner.

In response to the video, the Delhi Metro issued a statement emphasising the importance of passengers promptly reporting such incidents when witnessed. The controversy surrounding the video has raised questions about appropriate behaviour and decorum in public spaces like the metro.

The video was shared on social media by the X (formerly Twitter) handle with a caption that posed a provocative question: "Should Delhi Metro be closed now, or is it a place for entertainment?" This caption further fueled debate and concern over maintaining standards of public behaviour on public transportation systems.

PDA Videos in Delhi Metro

In a video from June 2023 that recently went viral, two middle-aged women were captured confronting a couple for engaging in public displays of affection (PDA) inside the Delhi Metro. The women alleged that the couple was standing too close to each other, deeming such behaviour "not acceptable in public." However, the couple defended themselves, refuting the claims and asserting that they had not engaged in objectionable conduct.

In another incident from the same year, a picture surfaced online depicting a young couple sharing an intimate moment inside the Delhi Metro. Although their faces were not visible, the image suggested that the couple might have been kissing. According to the caption accompanying the picture, the incident occurred on June 17 aboard the yellow line of the Delhi Metro heading towards HUDA city centre.
