While February was packed with some intense theatrical releases, March has in store for you from drama, and thrillers, to many political and social dramas, along with mystery and horrors. Interestingly there is something in store for everyone while the Women's Day month seems to focus highly on women-centric releases.

Laapata Ladies

After Dhobi Ghat, Kiran Rao's delightful drama Laapata Ladies navigates the story of two brides lost in a mix-up and explores themes of resilience, female bonding, and possibly even social commentary on prevalent traditions and challenges faced by women in rural India.

Kaagaz 2

Senior veteran stars grace the theatre on another important social drama as this sequel continues the story of critically acclaimed Kaagaz part 1 focussing on the struggles of ordinary citizens against powerful forces to restore their fundamental right to live. The film stars the late actor Satish Kaushik, along with Neena Gupta, Anupam Kher, Anang Desai, and Smriti Kalra. 

Release Date: March 1.

Big Girls Don't Cry

The upcoming series, Big Girls Don't Cry unveiled its official trailer on March 7, promising an intriguing glimpse into the world of a fictional all-girls boarding school. Helmed by directors Nitya Mehra, Sudhanshu Saria, Karan Kapadia, and Kopal Naithani, the series boasts a predominantly women-led ensemble cast, including Avantika Vandanapu, Aneet Padda, Dalai, Vidushi, Lhakyila, Afrah Sayed, and Akshita Sood, alongside seasoned actors Pooja Bhatt, Raima Sen, Zoya Hussain, and Mukul Chadda.

Murder Mubarak

A murder mystery that marks the debut of Karishma Kapoor on OTT along with step-niece Sara Ali Khan and other star-studded cast of Vijay Varma, Pankaj Tripathi, Aditya Roy Kapoor, Dimple Kapadia, Tisca Chopra, and Sanjay Kapoor on Netflix.

Bastar

Adah Sharma is once again caught up in a social drama starring in a real-life crime drama film on Naxalites in Chattisgarh. Bastar is set in the backdrop of the Naxalite movement in India and is inspired by true events. 

Release Date: March 15.

Yodha

Siddharth Malhotra along with Raashi Khanna and Disha Patni is all set to grace theatres in the highly-anticipated action thriller; Yodha depicting an off-duty soldier stuck in a terrorist hijacked plane. 

Release Date: March 20.

Ae Watan Mere Watan

Sara Ali Khan portrays the real-life freedom fighter Usha Mehta paying homage to many unsung freedom fighters in this historical drama along with Alexx O'Neil and Emraan Hashmi soon releasing on Amazon Prime Video. 

Release Date: March 21. 

Swatantra Veer Savarkar

Randeep Hooda and Ankita Lokhande star in a highly-anticipated biographical drama on another freedom fighter and writer Vinayak Damodar Savarkar, popularly known as Veer Savarkar portraying his imprisonment struggles, his controversial ideologies, and life journey. 

Release Date: March 22. 

Nikita Roy and the Book of Darkness

Sonakshi Sinha is all set for the upcoming big SLB series Heeramandi will also grace the big screens after years of hiatus, with a horror mystery film alongside Paresh Rawal and Arjun Rampal in a supernatural drama. 

Release Date: March 23. 

Crew

The multi-starrer action comedy-drama starring Karina Kapoor, Tabu, and Kriti Sanon in flavourful hard-working yet twisted and notorious cabin crew women stuck in a web of lies and unexpected twists in unforeseen dangers. The film is now titled "Bollywood's Charlie's Angels" by netizens who cannot wait for its release for this women-powerhouse drama and camaraderie.

Release Date: March 29.

Do Aur Do Pyaar

Vidya Balan and Ileana D'cruz star in a rom-com that centres around a married couple on the brink of separation as the film explores themes of marital discord, infidelity, and the complexities of relationships, all wrapped in a lighthearted and comedic tone.
