Enforcement Directorate Summons Jacqueline Fernandez For Questioning, Again

ED Summons Jacqueline Fernandez again: After more than ten hours of questioning by the Enforcement Directorate yesterday, actor Jacqueline Fernandez has been summoned again on December 9. The actor is being questioned by the central agency in connection with a Rs 200 crore extortion case carried out by Sukesh Chandrasekhar. Yesterday, Fernandez appeared as the witness in the case lodged with the Prevention of Money Laundering against the conman.

However, this was not the first time Fernandez was called in for questioning in relation to the case. She was summoned two months ago as well. The questioning yesterday took place at the MTNL building in Central Delhi at 11 AM. The summon for yesterday's appearance was reportedly given to the actor on Monday this week.

Reportedly, a woman official along with five others was present in the room where the actor's statement was recorded. She was summoned after a Look Out Circular (LOC) was issued against the actor at the request of ED, who were concerned that the actor might leave the country. Due to the LOC, Fernandez was detained at Mumbai international airport on December 6, when she was trying to fly to Muscat for a show. The actor was then taken to Delhi for questioning.

On December 4, the ED had also filed a chargesheet under PMLA which named the actor as a witness and the next date in the chargesheet matter is December 13.

Even actor Nora Fatehi's statement as a witness has been recorded recently in the case for allegedly receiving an expensive car from Chandrasekhar. On August 7, a complaint was registered by Aditi S Singh with the Economic Offences Wing (EOW) of the Delhi Police against Chandrasekhar of duping her of Rs 200 crore under the pretext of securing bail for her husband. Chandrasekhar and his wife were arrested by ED on October 6 this year in connection with the case.

As the case unravelled, it was unearthed that Chandrasekhar had been in contact with many Bollywood celebrities. On October 24, the lawyer representing Chandrasekhar said to the media that he and Fernandez were dating. Although, Fernandez's spokesperson denied the statements being made on her relationship with the couple and said that she was summoned to testify as a witness.

Recently, a picture of Jacqueline Fernandez and Sukesh Chandrasekhar surfaced on November 26. In the mirror selfie, Chandrasekhar was seen kissing Fernandez on the cheek while holding her. It has also been alleged that the conman arranged private jets for the actor on multiple occasions so that the two of them could meet.
