Raaj Shaandilyaa's comedy, Dream Girl 2, is gearing up for its release in theatres on August 25, and the promotional campaign is in full swing. Ayushmann Khurrana's cross-dressed character, Pooja, has been engaging in hilarious phone conversations with various hunks, including Shah Rukh Khan's Pathaan and, recently, Ranveer Singh's Rocky.
The latest promo for Dream Girl 2 brings a delightful surprise as it features none other than Chunky Panday, who is the real-life father of Ananya Panday, the film's leading lady. Ananya is a new addition to the Dream Girl franchise, following the success of the first instalment in 2019, which had Ayushmann Khurrana in the lead role.
Ananya Panday Shares New Promo For Dream Girl 2 Featuring Dad
On Saturday, Ananya Panday took to Instagram to share the new promo for Dream Girl 2. In the video, Ananya's character is seen playfully complaining to her real-life father, Chunky Panday, that Ayushmann Khurrana's character, Pooja, is stealing all the limelight in the film's promotions. She requests that he speak to the production house, Balaji Telefilms, owned by Ekta Kapoor and her mother, Shobha Kapoor.
Chunky pretends to dial the number but ends up jokingly mouthing his popular dialogue from the Housefull franchise, "I'm joking." Unintentionally, he ends up dialling Pooja herself. In a humorous twist, Chunky flirts with Pooja, who casually reminds him of the film's release date in cinemas.

Dream Girl 2 starring actor Ayushmann Khurrana unveiled its release date inciting excitement in the fans. Khurrana shared a video that reflects an introduction to his character Pooja. The teaser is a stretch to the first part of Dream Girl. The film is the follow-up to the 2019 comedy-drama also starring Khurrana. Khurrana is shown as a man whose female voice is the impersonation of Pooja. Pooja rules the heart of men in the film. The video shows Khurrana in a colourful shimmery lehenga, acting all graceful and decked up without revealing its face.

The actor shared the clip with the caption, Pooja_DreamGirl is back! #7KoSaathMein dekhenge! #DreamGirl2 releasing in cinemas on 7th July, 2023. Earlier the movie was scheduled to arrive on June 29.
Raaj Shaandilyaa is the director of Dream Girl 2, the other actors seen in prominent roles are Ananya Panday, Annu Kapoor, Paresh Rawal, Vijay Raaz, Manoj Joshi, Rajpal Yadav, Seema Pahwa, Manjot Singh, and Abhishek Banerjee.
The first explored theme of loneliness and companionship. Similarly to the first part, the second part also has a small-town boy Karam (Khurrana), who is trying to live a serious life in Mathura and falls in love with Pari (Panday) but in a turn of events, Karam becomes Pooja and doubles the chaos in his life. The film is produced by Ektaa R Kapoor and Shobha Kapoor’s Balaji Motion Pictures.
