Kanika & Tanya Chauhan: Digital Women Awards 2025

STP: What is the story behind Pieces & Peace?

Kanika & Tanya: Founded by two sisters with one heartfelt purpose: to make mindful living a way of life, our brand turns everyday moments into opportunities for reflection, gratitude, and joy.

What began as a shared passion has evolved into a movement that inspires people to slow down and reconnect with themselves.

Through thoughtfully designed wellness stationery, gratitude journals, planners, and workshops, we aim to spark kindness, love, and positivity in every heart we reach.

Each product carries an intention: to remind you that mindfulness isn’t a luxury, but a gentle act of self-love. Our journals invite gratitude, our planners bring clarity, and our workshops nurture inner peace.

Built on values of compassion and consciousness, our brand stands for more than paper and ink; it’s a celebration of purpose, connection, and the power of simple, mindful living.

STP: What Is Your Business Model?

Kanika & Tanya: Our business follows a direct-to-consumer e-commerce model through our own website, offering wellness stationery, gratitude journals, planners, and lifestyle products that encourage mindful living.

This approach allows us to maintain full control over design, quality, and brand storytelling, ensuring every product carries our core values of love, kindness, and joy.

To meet evolving consumer needs, we’re expanding into quick commerce platforms to make our products more accessible for instant gifting and everyday mindfulness.

Alongside this, we are actively building our corporate gifting vertical, partnering with companies and brands that wish to share meaningful, wellness-driven products with their teams and clients.

This segment presents a strong opportunity, given India’s ₹5,000+ crore corporate gifting market, which is growing steadily each year.

Our multi-channel approach: combining e-commerce, quick commerce, and corporate collaborations — positions us to scale sustainably while keeping mindfulness at the heart of modern living.

STP: In What Ways Do Technology And Digital Tools Contribute To The Growth, Efficiency, And Overall Success Of Your Business?

Kanika & Tanya: Technology and digital tools have been the backbone of our brand’s growth, helping us connect meaningfully with our audience and operate efficiently.

From product design to customer experience, every stage of our journey is powered by digital innovation and thoughtful use of technology.

Our e-commerce website serves as the heart of our business, enabling us to reach conscious consumers across India who seek wellness and mindfulness products that bring joy and purpose to everyday life.

Through integrated analytics and customer insights, we understand buying behaviour, track trends, and make data-driven decisions to improve engagement and retention.

Social media platforms play a major role in storytelling. Using Instagram, Pinterest, and email marketing tools, we create authentic narratives that build community, encourage mindful habits, and drive organic growth.

Performance marketing and SEO strategies further help us reach new audiences and boost visibility among like-minded consumers.

Operationally, we rely on digital inventory and order management systems to streamline logistics, track real-time stock levels, and ensure smooth fulfilment.

Tools like Canva, Notion, and Google Workspace help our small team stay creative, collaborative, and organised, while automation tools simplify routine tasks and improve efficiency.

As we expand into quick commerce and corporate gifting, technology continues to play a pivotal role, enabling faster order processing, better personalisation, and seamless customer journeys.

Looking ahead, we plan to introduce AI-powered recommendations and digital journaling features, bridging mindfulness with modern tech.

In essence, technology allows us to do what we do best: focus on spreading kindness, love, and mindfulness while ensuring that every process behind the scenes runs efficiently, beautifully, and with intention.

STP: What Is The Future Opportunity For Your Business?

Kanika & Tanya: India’s wellness and lifestyle market is witnessing remarkable growth, valued at over ₹2 trillion and expanding at a rate of 15–20% annually.

With conscious living becoming a mainstream movement, our brand is perfectly positioned to meet the growing demand for products that nurture mindfulness and joy.

We’re tapping into the evolving ₹12,000 crore stationery and lifestyle gifting segment, where consumers increasingly seek emotional connection over utility.

Our future plans include broadening our range beyond wellness stationery and journals to include lifestyle products that add warmth to everyday moments, from coffee mugs and coasters to affirmation decks, mindfulness kits, and guided journals.

We also plan to host mindfulness and gratitude workshops across India, building a community rooted in kindness and intentional living.

With a vision to reach 100,000+ customers, our focus is on making mindful living accessible, beautiful, and part of everyone’s daily routine.

STP: What Were Some Key Challenges You Faced While Building Your Business?

Kanika & Tanya: Building our business came with its share of challenges, each teaching us something valuable along the way. One of the biggest hurdles was starting small with limited resources, as we were completely self-funded. From product development to packaging and marketing, every step required creativity and careful budgeting.

Another challenge was spreading awareness about mindful living, helping people understand that our products were not just stationery, but tools for emotional wellbeing and self-reflection.

Educating the market while building a brand from scratch took time and consistent storytelling.

We also faced operational challenges, like finding sustainable vendors, managing inventory, and ensuring smooth delivery experiences while maintaining quality and aesthetics.

Balancing growth with authenticity was another key learning, staying true to our purpose while adapting to new trends and consumer expectations.

Each obstacle pushed us to innovate, stay patient, and build with intention, turning challenges into stepping stones for long-term growth.

STP: How do you prioritise your health - emotional and physical - to deal with challenges better?

Kanika & Tanya: Entrepreneurs need to prioritise health and emotional well-being because they are the true foundations of sustainable success.

Building a business demands constant decision-making, creativity, and resilience,  all of which thrive only when the mind and body are cared for.

When entrepreneurs neglect their well-being, burnout, stress, and exhaustion can cloud judgment and reduce productivity.

Prioritising physical health through movement and rest, and emotional health through mindfulness and balance, allows entrepreneurs to stay grounded and focused.

It helps them respond to challenges with clarity instead of overwhelm, and lead their teams with empathy rather than pressure.

Entrepreneurship is a long journey, not a sprint. By investing in their own well-being, entrepreneurs not only protect their energy but also set an example for their teams and communities.

True growth comes from balance, not burnout, and that success feels better when it’s built with peace of mind.

STP: As An Entrepreneur, What's The One Motto You Live By?

Kanika & Tanya: “Build with purpose, grow with kindness.”

It’s a reminder that success isn’t just about scaling numbers; it’s about creating something meaningful, spreading positivity, and staying true to your values every step of the way.
