Why I chose entrepreneurship:

Entrepreneurship is in my DNA. Besides that, I was keen on building a community for North Indian Moms where they can share their experiences, queries, feelings, suggestions, and feedback without being judged. I worked on this idea, started my website Budding Star and that's how gradually I became an entrepreneur.

Challenges I faced:

I had to start everything from the scratch. There was no one to guide me. The entire concept was not only new to me but also for everyone surrounding me. I had to struggle a lot to create initial connections with brands because many big names prefer to connect via marketing channels only.

Small offers flexibility:

I believe that the biggest benefit of starting as a small business was flexibility, the choice to explore multiple options and being approachable.

How the pandemic pushed my business:

The pandemic didn’t affect me much. In fact, it turned to be a blessing in disguise. We mostly deal in baby care products which fall into essential categories. The pandemic has also given a market place for the brands to widen their horizons and explore more opportunities. New brands are using this time to create awareness about their brand and build brand image.

Advice to entrepreneurs

My advice to aspiring entrepreneurs is that there is no replacement for hard work.  Stay loyal to your work and never stop learning.
