Sisters from Gaja relief camp who competed on Singing Stars caught A.R. Rahman's interest on social media. Srimathi and Srisakthi were seen singing a song about the problems encountered by the fishermen community in a promotional video published by the makers.

Srimathi and Srisakthi's performance mesmerised fans and followers in a trailer issued by the show's producers. The video drew the notice of A.R. Rahman as it was doing rounds. On his Instagram account, he posted a video of their performance. "These two sisters are asking some important questions through this song," the music director wrote in the post.

The sibling duo Srimathi and Srisakthi are competing in the music reality show Singing Stars. They are from the Nagapattinam district and belong to a fisherman family. The sisters' family was displaced by the Gaja floods forcing them to live in a flood relief camp in Gaja. Despite the fact that the duo was removed from the competition, they were given the opportunity to take part in a live recording session alongside other participants and music director Santhosh Narayanan. Santhosh, along with Shakthishree Gopalan and vocalist Ananthu.

Singing Stars, a famous singing reality show on Colors Tamil, has returned for a second season. In South India, it is one of the most popular singing reality shows. Because of its unique format and concept, the television show attracted a large number of viewers.
