RPF Personnel Saves Woman

Originally from Tirumalgiri village in Nalgonda District, Telangana, K. Sanitha joined the Railway Protection Force in 2020. She had helped passengers in troublesome situations earlier. An official statement from the RPF stated that the heroic act of the woman constable symbolised the spirit of "Mission Jeevan Raksha."

The statement also stated that their personnel, being "citizens in uniform," would go to any extent, including risking their own lives to save those of others. The statement mentioned instances of passengers who were saved by the RPF when they were at risk of going under the wheels of the train while boarding or deboarding the vehicle. It also highlighted that two passengers were saved by RPF personnel under the mission "Jeevan Raksha" in the year 2023.

The Railway Protection Force Secunderabad Division said that it remains committed to ensuring the security and safety of passengers. It also stated that it has been creating awareness among passengers about potential risks associated with boarding and deboarding from moving trains, with the ultimate aim of preventing accidents and protecting lives.

As of 2022 Under the RPF’s mission "Jeevan Raksha," which aims to protect the lives of passengers across the clock at railway stations, 5,34,308 men and 226 women were saved in the last five years. This data was presented by the Ministry of Railways on the Railway Protection Force’s 38th foundation day last year.
