Not only did BBC weatherman Owain Wyn Evans manages to raise millions for a charity with his recent 24 hour "drumathon" her also went viral on social media. A video of Evans playing the British Broadcasting Corporation's theme music along with other drummers from the event has taken Twitter over, and social media can't get enough of this hair-raising experience.

On November 12, Evan sat down with his drum kit, committed to playing it straight for 24 hours, in order to raise funds for BBC's initiative- Children in Need. Evans has drawn praise during 2020, when he took to playing his set on air, performing his rendition of the news channel's theme, as a result of which he had gone viral.
Thanks to his drumathon on Friday, Evans was able to raise 2.5 million pounds ( roughly 25 crore rupees) for charity.
"I'm feeling overwhelmed, people have been so generous," he said after finishing the marathon at the network's studio in Salford, United Kingdom. The weatherman took breaks and even sought medical attention for injuries incurred from playing constantly for such a long duration. The drummer also said that while his hands held up okay, the team had some problems with his arms as they had been moving for 24 hours.
Evans didn't disappoint viewers as he performed his rendition of the BBC theme during his drumathon, accompanied by as many as 50 drummers. He also played Rocky theme music, Britney Spears' Baby One More Time,

Many have hailed the viral video for its energy and intent, dubbing it as one of the best TV moments of the year. "In a brutal world you need beautiful moments to give you hope. This was one of them," tweeted Shaun Keaveny.
"Well its the first time I've rocked around my living room to the BBC theme! Lets have it as a constant or at least once a week. Great exercise and seeing the youngsters having so much fun as well as Owain was joyful. Well Done you, such an inspiration and a joy to watch," another user wrote in the comments section of one of the tweets.
"I cannot put into words how much of a special moment this was Two hearts The Drumathon has been overwhelming, but I’ll never forget these 2 minutes. What a team of drummers, thanks so much @MarkSkunkAnansi for orchestrating this performance," Evan tweeted on November 14, opening up about playing the channel's theme song for charity.
