Martin Scorsese's Daughter Makes Him Name Women's Items, TikTok Video Is A Viral Hit

Who could have guessed that 2021 would come bearing a Martin Scorsese TikTok video of the illustrious filmmaker guessing at items of makeup and women's use? But it happened and how! The video, created and shared by his 21-year-old daughter Francesca, is taking the internet by storm.

Scorsese may be a legend when it comes to Oscar-nomination worthy film direction but, as Francesca's video has revealed, he knows plenty little about cosmetic products and other toiletry essentials. And yet, as his daughter wrote, the 78-year-old's TikTok performance exceeded her expectations.

She showed Scorsese a total of seven items, scoring him correct on only four answers. Perhaps that counts for a fair pass for someone who dabbles in dark themes of crime and violence?

Martin Scorsese TikTok Video Storms The Internet, Netizens Call It "Cinema"

A confused dad and an amused daughter - it's a brand of humour Scorsese's films are not known for but one that the director will perhaps be associated it henceforth, thanks to TikTok.

He guesses an eyelash curler to be something "for your eyes... mascara," much to Francesca's shocked delight at him even knowing that much. A beauty blender becomes "some sort of cosmetic thing" while a menstrual cup is dubbed "an eye cup."

Nipple pasties turn "earbuds" and by the time the duo reaches bobby pins, Scorsese retorts, "Come on what is this? Wasting my time," before going on to answer correctly.

Photos of a scrunchie and a hair doughnut - both hair tie products - however, baffled him, and he proceeded to call the latter "some sort of weird pillow."

Francesca captioned the TikTok video 'part 1,' which means fans can expect Scorsese to make a return for a second part of identifying objects soon.

This is not the first time Scorsese's youngest has humoured audiences with her social media exploits featuring him. In 2019, she wrapped Christmas presents in Marvel-themed paper for her father, who only that year, had made his thoughts known on the popular superhero comic adaptation franchise, calling it "not cinema."

"Look at what I am wrapping my Dad’s X-mas gifts in," Francesca wrote, sharing pictures of her eventful wrapping process on Instagram.

Scorsese has been married five times and has three daughters from his unions. Francesca, his daughter with Helen Schermerhorn Morris, has appeared in his films The Departed and The Aviator.
