Viral Video: Junior Mirabai Imitates Chanu's Silver Medal Olympic Lift; Chanu Calls It Cute

Weightlifter Mirabai Chanu's silver medal victory at Tokyo Olympics has encouraged little girls across the country to dream big, work towards them and eventually fulfill them. He called her daughter junior Mirabai Chanu in the caption. In the video, the little girl is seen lifting weights and imitating Chanu as if she were receiving the Silver medal. A television screen can be seen behind her which shows Mirabai's victory clipping from Olympics.

The video has been retweeted 6151 times and over 43.7K Twitter users have liked the video. Weighlifter Mirabai Chanu also responded to the video saying that the girl was really cute and she loved her video.

A few days ago,  actor tiger Shroff also congratulated the Manipuri weightlifter by posting a video on Instagram where he could be seen weightlifting. More about Mirabai Chanu's Olympic Win

Weightlifter Mirabai Chanu picked up a silver medal for India on July 24 at the 2020 Tokyo Olympics. Chanu lost to China’s Hou Zhihu who lifted 94 kgs to secure the gold medal. Chanu, on the other hand, lifted 84 and 87 kg weight successfully, however she failed to lift 89 kgs.

With this win, Chanu has become the first Indian to win a medal at the Tokyo Olympics. Chanu is India’s only entry in weightlifting for Tokyo Olympics. This is Chanu’s second Olympics appearance. She also participated in the Rio edition of the Games, where she had not succeeded to secure a podium finish for India. Read more about her victory.
