Video Of 10-Year-Old Girl Saving Grandmother From Chain Snatcher Goes Viral

CCTV footage from Pune, Maharashtra of a 10-year-old girl bravely protecting her grandmother from a chain snatcher has gone viral on social media. Netizens are praising the girl for her act of bravery and chances are you will feel the same way after watching the video.

In the video we can see, the girl walking on the roadside with her grandmother and sister, when a young man on a scooter stops by her grandmother and suddenly attempts to snatch her chain. However, the elderly woman, as well as her 10-year-old granddaughter, bravely fought with the accused snatcher. The accused managed to flee the scene in his vehicle.

10-Year-Old Girl Saves Grandmother From Chain Snatcher

The viral video of the incident, shows the elderly woman falling on the road as the accused made his escape. The incident occurred in the Model Colony of Shivajinagar, Pune on Wednesday at around 8 pm.

The 60-year-old woman named Lata Ghag was walking her way back home with two of her granddaughters when the incident took place.

Reportedly, the young man pretended to ask for an address to snatch the elderly woman’s chain but, her 10-year-old granddaughter named Rutvi Ghag started to hit the accused snatcher while her grandmother Lata tried to get him off the scooter, which made him flee away.

The police department is investigating the case and has given the assurance that the accused will be caught soon.

While attempting to prevent the accused from running away elderly woman fell on the road and sustained minor injuries. The video of the chain-snatching incident has been widely circulated on the internet and people are appraising little Rutvi for her courage and determination to save her grandmother, which made her fight a man far bigger than her without any fear or hesitation.
