According to reports, the video was shot at a high-rise society in sector 82 of the Faridabad area in Delhi-NCR. By the looks of it, the video was taken by someone standing in the opposite building as the mother. The woman was trying to pick up the clothes that had fallen on the 9th floor of the building.
Reportedly, the door of the 9th floor was locked. The woman was then seen tying her son to the saree using it as a rope and then dropping him on the 9th floor to pick up the clothes. When the clothes were reached, the boy was seen clinging to the saree-rope while the family of four pulled him up. Many social media users were seen alarmed how the family risked the life of a child just to pick up some clothes.

Most people were seen hitting out at the woman in the video assuming her to be the mother of the son. There seems to be not much information about what was the real motivation behind pulling such a dangerous stunt. The video was first shared on Twitter by an Indian Police Service officer Dipanshu Kabra.
One user wrote, "Majority of parents think they can treat their kid their way. In many developed countries, Social services protect the rights of children very diligently. In India also we must devise & manifest rights & duties of parents pertinent to their offspring."
While another wrote, "This is India, it lives like that, no surprises! Luckily it was a cloth and not a snake! India hai to mumkin hai." Everything is possible in India. Many social media users were seen tagging the Haryana police to raise alarm and take action against the woman in the video. Many also claimed that the video was taken to go viral on social media. The comments then leaned towards how people will go to any extent to go viral these days. So far, there has been no report about the Haryana police acknowledging the viral video.
