An elderly woman stole the show as she grooved to iconic Punjabi songs and did the Bhangra. A video of the woman dancing went viral on social media and impressed netizens.
The elderly woman identified as Rekha Bajaj was dancing her heart out when musician and disc jockey (DJ) Shail Sharma took a video and shared it on social media.
Sharma wrote in the caption, “So this is what I witnessed today in front of my console when I saw this lady (Rekha Ma’am) came up with few iconic Punjabi songs request and took over the dance floor”.

Sharma added that he and the band members were "completely awestruck" and described Bajaj's dancing as "graceful". He added, "no matter how life treats you but you should always live it to the fullest and enjoy every moment of it”.
The viral video showed Rekha Bajaj dancing her heart out to the popular Punjabi song Dhol Jageero Da as the crowd cheers her on. At one point, the video shows Bajaj up on the stage doing the Bhangra.
The video received more than 13.6 million views, 1.2 million likes, and more than 5,700 comments.
Bajaj responded to the viral video and commented on the post. She wrote, “Thank you so much. It was a great fun with you guys on Adi’s weddings celebrations. Shailarmy you rocked. Enjoyed every moment till last song”.
The comment section of the post revealed that Bajaj works as the vice-principal at a school. One user claimed to be an old student of the avid dancer and vice-principal. The user wrote, “The moment I came across this video, I immediately thought ‘Hey why does this lady remind me of Rekha ma’am?’”
The user added that “Nothing has changed about Rekha ma’am – her signature Bindi and the swag that she commanded ever since our school days.” The user ended the comment by saying it was lovely to see her once again and said they were “glad to have been taught by you”.
