"Miracles Do Happen," Woman Gave Birth Twice During Menopause

A 51-year-old woman fulfilled her desire to have children by giving birth to her two children while going through menopause. When the woman posted about her experiences on social media, netizens wished her luck as well as shared their own personal experiences with her.

The woman, who goes by 'Em' on social media, posted a number of videos on TikTok discussing her experiences as an older mother and the reasons she still cherishes every moment of being a mother. Em shared a video with her one-year-old daughter, who she was joyfully carrying on her side. Em remarked, "Miracles do happen." She wrote in the caption, "I'm 51 and she's one. The best thing that ever happened to me was having a child during menopause. "

Em also mentioned that she became pregnant when she was 48 and 49 years old. While she feels fortunate, she also feels extremely tired and done.

In another video, Em posted pictures of herself throughout her pregnancies and with her children along with the statement, "Pregnant at age 48 and 49. I’m not crazy. Just extremely blessed! And tired! I’m really really tired! And done!” she said — then pleaded, “I need chat friends! Seriously. To keep me awake!"

In another TikTok video that showed her daughter enjoying food, Em shared, "I'm not missing a single second of the simple moments. Life with her is definitely going to be slow and I’m soaking it all in on purpose."

Many viewers applauded her transparency and added their own stories about becoming parents later in life. One user said, "I'm 52 and I can't imagine going through that again, but I can definitely say that I love being a grandmother! Good luck, cute baby." Another user wrote, "I'm 43 and would love to get married again and have another child. This only serves as further proof to me that it is indeed possible. Congratulations!"
