A recent viral video from Pilibhit Medical College has sparked controversy and calls for investigation due to its unusual content. The video captured a scene in the hospital's OPD ward where a female nurse was seen casually riding her scooter through the crowded space, much to the surprise and inconvenience of the patients present.

The video gained widespread attention on social media platforms, showcasing a crowded OPD ward filled with patients when suddenly the nurse appeared on her scooter, navigating through the space with apparent nonchalance. Despite the crowded environment and potential safety concerns, the nurse remained unfazed, wearing dark glasses as she confidently moved through the area.
The video's rapid circulation on social media elicited various reactions from viewers. Some users expressed humour and sarcasm, with one commenting, "Be proud, you are in Uttar Pradesh," in a tongue-in-cheek manner. Others mocked the nurse's behaviour, labelling it as unusual and unconventional.
Investigation Initiated
In response to the public outcry and concerns raised by the viral video, higher officials swiftly ordered an investigation into the matter. The Chief Medical Officer initiated a probe to ascertain the circumstances surrounding the incident and determine appropriate action.
This above-mentioned incident is among several mishaps and bizarre videos from hospitals that have circulated on the internet. Another similar incident is from 2020 when four nurses working in the special newborn care unit of Malkangiri district headquarters hospital received show cause notices after TikTok videos of them dancing and lip-syncing inside the hospital went viral.
The videos showed the nurses in their green uniforms and caps, lip-syncing to Hindi film songs and dialogues. One clip even featured a nurse holding a newborn baby while music played in the background. The videos were posted on TikTok by a user named Jyoti Ray. Following the viral spread of these videos, Malkangiri health officials summoned the nurses named Nandini Ray, Ruby Ray, Tapasi Biswas, and Jyoti Ray and issued show-cause notices to them. Jyoti Ray was identified as the person who recorded and posted the videos.
