Malaysian content creator Jenn Chia left the internet world stunned after discovering her husband in the background of a selfie she took two years before they even met. The photo, taken in October 2012, shows Jenn enjoying a drink at a theatre cafe, oblivious to the presence of her future spouse, Jon Liddell, waiting in line nearby.

Malaysian Creator Spots Husband In Photo Years Before They Met

Jenn's incredible discovery happened while reminiscing through old photos. Zooming in on the background, she was shocked to see her now-husband Jon Lidelld's unmistakable figure. The couple, who officially met in December 2014 and tied the knot in August 2023, were at the same place at the same time, completely unaware of their destined encounter.

The 32-year-old creator shared the story of the coincidence on her Instagram account in a reel form where the video caption started with "I'm still shaking looking at this" with a selfie from 2012 in a theatre where Libdell can be spotted behind. The video then continues with pictures of the couple meeting two years later and getting married in their wedding attire nine years later with soulful music in the background.

Jenn also wrote a heartfelt caption under the reel which stated "We met at the right time" and explained her statement narrating: "If it was before, I don’t think the relationship would have lasted. I was a narcissistic monster, unaware and naive."

Jenn, through the caption, also took us through the self-discovery journey that landed her in finding the perfect partner as she stated, "Took me a year of travelling and being single to reflect and realise my own mistakes. That’s when we met." She ended the note with a hopeful text that read "The right person will always find you at the right time."

Her husband, Liddell known for his YouTube covers and original songs like 'The One I'm Thinking Of' and 'Here For You' and features in many of Jenn's cute couple reels on her account also commented in the heart-touching video agreeing with his wife about not meeting at the time of their 'first picture' as they were "meant to go on their journeys" stating that they met years later at "perfect time".

Internet States It To Be 'Invisible Strings Theory'

Jenn's story quickly went viral, garnering millions of views and heartfelt comments. Many netizens expressed amazement at the serendipitous coincidence, while others saw it as a beautiful testament to fate and the intricate threads of destiny. Many also stated the incident as a classic example of 'invisible strings attached.'

Notably, the 'Invisible Strings Theory' is not a scientific theory but a metaphorical term that gained popularity after Taylor Swift's song 'Invisible Strings' from the 'Folklore' album and is inspired by ancient beliefs like the "red thread of fate" in Chinese mythology. It simply means the two soulmates destined to meet are connected through an invisible thread.

Many users in awe of the love story hailed the incident as 'meant to be' while many other users narrated similar incidents that happened to them as well under the comments section of the video shared by Jenn.

Jenn's heartwarming story has sparked conversations about serendipity, soulmates, and the unseen forces that guide our lives.
