Actor Keisha Nash, formerly married to Forest Whitaker until their divorce in 2018, passed away at the age of 51. The news was shared by their daughter, True Whitaker, through an Instagram Story. True, 25, expressed her love for her mother and thanked her for everything she taught her. The cause of Keisha Nash's death was not immediately disclosed. The family confirmed her passing to Deadline, while a representative for Forest Whitaker has not yet responded.

She wrote, "Goodbye Mommy. I love you 4ever and beyond," True, 25, wrote in a caption over a black-and-white photo of her mother. "the most beautiful woman in the world... thank you for teaching me every single thing I know. I'll see you in my dreams and I'll feel you in my heart."

Forest Whitaker and Keisha Nash met while filming the 1994 movie Blown Away, where Nash was cast as Whitaker’s character's girlfriend. They got engaged the next year and married in 1996 in Montego Bay, Jamaica. Besides True, they also have another daughter, Sonnet Noel, aged 27.

Whitaker has a son named Ocean, 33, from a previous relationship, while Nash has a daughter named Autumn, 32, also from a prior relationship. Their marriage ended in divorce in December 2018 after 22 years, with Whitaker citing irreconcilable differences in the court filings.

Keisha Nash, identified by a Massachusetts-based magazine as a Lynn Classical High School graduate, was the founder of Kissable Couture, a high-end cosmetics line created with makeup artist A.J. Crimson.

In 2008, speaking to O, The Oprah Magazine, she shared her ambition, stating, 'I've always been very ambitious.' She reflected on her endeavours for the brand, revealing her prior attempt at launching a children's clothing line when her kids were younger. However, she admitted that starting a new business demanded immense commitment, and during that time, her primary focus was on motherhood.

In a 2009 interview with Parade, Forest Whitaker praised his wife's strength in parenting, acknowledging her as the stronger presence with the kids.
