Woods and Vanessa Trump had been featured in gossip outlets for several weeks. The duo had usually kept their personal lives away from social media before the surprise announcement. Woods added in the post, "At this time we would appreciate privacy for all those close to our hearts.”

Vanessa Trump (née Kay Pergolizzi) is a media personality and the former daughter-in-law of US President Donald Trump. She grew up on the posh Upper East Side of Manhattan, New York. Her mother was a modelling agent and her step-father was a lawyer. Vanessa was also a model during her teens and twenties.
Vanessa was married to Donald Trump Jr. from 2005 to 2018. The duo have five children together, including 17-year-old Kai Madison, a golfer who is set to play at the University of Miami in 2026. Kai also goes to the same school as Tiger Woods' children Sam and Charlie.
Sam and Charlie are from Woods’ marriage to Elin Nordegren, who divorced him in 2010 after he had been exposed for multiple extramarital affairs.
