In a recent survey, Michelle Obama was voted as the top contender to replace President Joe Biden in the upcoming United States Presidential Elections. The former first lady received about 20% of the votes among candidates in the run to replace Biden, according to the Rasmussen Reports polls. Notably, nearly half of Democrat Americans are in favour of the 81-year-old incumbent President being replaced. The other candidates vying for Biden's place included Michigan Governor Gretchen Whitmer, California Governor Gavin Newsom, former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, and Vice President Kamala Harris.

About 48% of the Democrats polled said they approve of the party "finding another candidate to replace Joe Biden before the election in November," compared to 38% who disapprove. While Obama swept 20% of the votes, Kamala Harris earned 15% and Donald Trump and Hillary Clinton shared 12% each.

Michelle Obama To Replace Biden In Presidential Run

Michelle Obama is the top contender to replace Joe Biden in the November polls. Obama has repeatedly been asked to consider contesting the elections. Last year, Texas Republican Senator Ted Cruz suggested that she could be "parachuted in" at the Democratic National Convention, which will be held in Chicago this year, which is her hometown. He suggested she be nominated instead of Biden.

However, Obama has often stated that she prefers to stay off politics. Last month, she expressed fear about the upcoming elections, saying it "haunts" her. Obama said, "The fact that people think 'Eh, does it (the government) really even do anything?' and I'm like, 'Oh my God, does the government do everything for us, and we cannot take this democracy for granted.' Those are the things that keep me up."

The 2024 US presidential elections will see a possible rematch of Joe Biden and Donald Trump. He has asserted he would be running despite concerns over his advancing age, while Trump is assured that his legal disputes and criminal charges, which could see him face decades in prison, would not come in the way of his run. Notably, Biden is trailing his predecessor and former president Donald Trump in many polls across key states, according to reports.
