We, citizens, are too quick to bad-mouth police officers and pick on their bad mistakes. Do we take half of the time to appreciate and celebrate the good ones? Why are good police officers not as much in the headlines and discussions as bad ones? Well, here's one such inspiring story of a real cop to celebrate.

Officer Saves Kidnapped Woman

A US police officer rescued a woman who repeatedly mouthed "help me" during a traffic stop as her alleged kidnapper sat beside her.

The police officer was at her duty patrolling a highway when she noticed a jeep passing through a red sign. Wallace immediately pulled the jeep to the side lane. Wallace gave loud and clear orders to not open the car doors but both passenger and driver did as they said the windows do not roll down.

Wallace then noticed the woman behind the wheel seemingly in some distress. The person in the passenger seat was comparatively very calm, Wallace described.

When the kidnapper on the passenger seat wasn't looking, the woman mouthed "help me" to Wallace repetitively. Wallace immediately caught the clue and took the suspected man in the passenger seat into the restraint of cuffs and arrest.

When the kidnapped woman got safely out of her jeep she alleged that the man shot someone at a beachside restaurant and got into her car, and at a gunpoint asked her to take him away from the crime site.

The gun was found under the passenger seat and was the same gun that was shot at the site of the beachside restaurant confirmed the police department.

The arrested man is 29 years old identified as Colins Bates that has been facing charges of attempted murder and kidnapping.

While Wallace is celebrated by the whole town for being an attentive cop and working honestly even at the last 30 minutes of her shift on a Sunday.
