Hulu's new reality dating series, Muslim Matchmaker, produced by Smriti Mundhra’s Meralta Films, is set to premiere around Valentine’s Day. Known for creating Indian Matchmaking, Mundhra introduces a fresh perspective on matchmaking in this unscripted series. The series features matchmakers Hoda Abrahim and Yasmin Elhady, who assist Muslim American singles in finding love while adhering to their faith. Unlike traditional dating shows, Muslim Matchmaker veers away from modern dating apps and casual hook-ups. Instead, the matchmakers rely on their “Rules of Three: three dates, three months, three hundred questions.” This method promises a deep and intentional approach to matchmaking, focusing on building connections that align with the participants' values.

Muslim Matchmaker arrives on Feb 11 on HULU, just in time for Valentine’s Day, offering insights into love and relationships that resonate beyond cultural boundaries. Mundhra posted the announcement on her Instagram, with a long caption reading, “This series represents everything I try to center in my work: heart, fun, joy and expanding our view of who gets to have Main Character Energy.

In this case, it’s our brilliant matchmakers Hoda and Yasmin. Trust me you will FALL IN LOVE with them and no matter what your background, you will LEARN HOW TO DATE by watching them work. The only faith you need to enjoy this series is a belief that love is out there for you.”
