A spectator had the idea to jump over the fence in the centre field and dashed onto the field, where he then proceeded to kneel and propose to his girlfriend in the stands.

Regrettably, but as expected, the plan resulted in a major failure, and he was tackled by the security personnel in the arena.

Proposal Goes Wrong At Dodger Stadium

On the Opening Day of the game between the Dodgers and the Arizona Diamondbacks, Ricardo Juarez, a 35-year-old sushi chef from Riverside, California, attended the game with his girlfriend, Stephani Ramona Gutierrez. Being prepared with an engagement ring, Juarez was contemplating different ways to propose to his girlfriend during the game.

He subsequently made the choice to dash onto the field during the middle of the ball game. At first, he was able to bypass security and enter the Dodger Stadium field without much difficulty. As he turned to face the stands he had recently left, the man, dressed in a Mookie Betts jersey, knelt down and presented a ring in a box. Indicating upward toward his girlfriend, it was evident that he was about to propose.

In general, the moment appeared to be sincere, however, it was cut short. As shown in the ">video posted on social media, the sound level inside the stadium seemed to increase when the camera is panned back to the man in question.

It is clear that something was occurring beyond the visible frame, and thereafter, someone could be heard exclaiming "Get up!" Nevertheless, it was already too late to take any action.

The security guard tackled the man, causing him to fall and lose hold of the ring he was carrying.

More security personnel subsequently joined in, and the man was eventually taken away from the field. Interestingly, DMX's famous song, Ruff Ryder's Anthem, began playing on the public address system, adding to the scene's humour.

In a separate video that was uploaded on the internet, Lourdes Gurriel Jr., an outfielder for Diamondbacks, is shown grimacing as he witnesses the collision from a close distance.

However, despite the proposal taking a wild turn, Ricardo Juarez and Stephani Ramona Gutierrez are now engaged and intend to get married during the summer.
