Bad Sisters

The drama series named Bad Sisters revolves around a group of sisters Eva, Ursula, Grace, Beckawho and Bibi, who have a complicated and troubled relationship. The show delves into their intertwined lives, exploring their secrets, betrayals, and challenges. The storyline focuses on family dynamics, personal growth, and the consequences of past actions. Bad Sisters offers a gripping narrative filled with twists and turns, keeping viewers engaged as they unravel the complexities of these flawed characters. It was initially streamed on August 19, 2022 however due to innumerable demands from people it was renewed and is now available on Apple TV+. The Garvey sisters' characters are played by actors Eve Hewson, Sarah Greene, Eva Birthistle, Anne-Marie Duff and Sharon Horgan respectively.

Heartstopper

Heartstopper is a British coming-of-age romantic comedy-drama television series on Netflix, written and created by Alice Oseman and based on her webcomic and graphic novel of the same name. The series primarily tells the story of Charlie Spring (Joe Locke), a gay schoolboy who falls in love with classmate Nick Nelson (Kit Connor), whom he sits next to in his new form. It also explores the lives of their friends Tao Xu (William Gao), Elle Argent (Yasmin Finney), Isaac Henderson (Tobie Donovan), Tara Jones (Corinna Brown) and Darcy Olsson (Kizzy Edgell).

The series follows Charlie and Nick as they navigate their blossoming relationship, while also dealing with the challenges of being a teenager, such as bullying, parental disapproval, and self-acceptance. Heartstopper is a heartwarming and uplifting story about the power of love, friendship, and acceptance.

It is a must-watch for fans of coming-of-age stories and LGBTQ+ representation but will also give you comforting hugs dealing with topics relatable to even adults irrespective of their orientation from eating disorders to emotional expressions it has something stored for all. 

Shelter

Based on critically acclaimed author Harlan Coben's NewYork Times best-selling novel series Shelter is an 8-episode fast-paced mystery with plenty of twists and turns about 15-year-old Mickey Bolitar who has just lost his father in a car accident while his mother is in a drug rehabilitation centre.

The plot might sound much similar to the Korean Drama Itaewon Class but is much tougher and rougher than that as Mickey is moved to his estranged Uncle Myron while his girlfriend disappears mysteriously who later turns out to be something none of us saw coming. With the help of his two new friends Ema and Spoon, the trio embarks on the journey of investigation to unfold the mystery. 

The Shelter is a well-crafted suspense thriller on Amazon Prime Video.

Ted Lasso

A comedy-drama series, Ted Lasso has gained widespread acclaim. The show depicts the novice character, Ted Lasso, an American football coach who is hired to coach a struggling English soccer team, despite having no experience in the sport. With his optimistic and earnest approach, Ted Lasso wins over the players and staff, transforming the team's dynamics. The series combines humour, heartwarming moments, and character-driven storytelling to deliver a feel-good and uplifting viewing experience. Ted Lasso has resonated with audiences for its positive themes of kindness, empathy, and the power of teamwork. Although it has 3 seasons, it’s so engaging that one can't feel monotonous while watching it. Led by actor-producer Jason Sudeikis, the series features actors Hannah Waddingham, Brett Goldstein, Juno Temple, Keeley Hazell, Phil Dunste, Jodi Balfour, Brendan Hunt and Nick Mohammed among others.

Smurfs

If you're looking for a light watch to stay away from anticipating much, The Smurfs on Netflix is the show for you. Watch how this group of Smurfs take on their magical adventure whilst facing their biggest rival, the wicked sorcerer Gargamel and the infamous cat Azrael.
