Life With And After One Direction

Liam Payne rose to fame as part of One Direction, one of the biggest pop bands of the 2010s. The band, which included Niall Horan, Harry Styles, Louis Tomlinson, and Zayn Malik, was formed on the British television show The X Factor in 2010. Liam had actually appeared on the show twice before finding success with One Direction.

The group quickly became a global sensation, releasing a series of hit albums and singles and becoming one of the highest-grossing live acts in the world. Despite Malik leaving the band in 2015, the group continued for another year before going on an indefinite hiatus in 2016.

After One Direction, Liam embarked on a solo career, releasing his debut album LP1 in December 2019. His lead single Strip That Down became a commercial success, reaching number three on the UK charts and number 10 on the US Billboard charts.

Liam was open about his struggles with fame and personal issues, including battles with alcoholism. In a 2023 video on his YouTube channel, Liam spoke about his time in rehab and his efforts to stop drinking, saying, "I kind of became somebody who I didn't really recognise anymore. And I'm sure you guys didn't either."
