Union Education Minister Steps In To Help Khushboo Kumari
A moving story from Bihar has touched millions of hearts across the nation, as a young girl’s dream of becoming a doctor is set to become a reality after her video went viral on the internet. Khushboo Kumari, a bright student from Danapur, faced an unexpected hindrance in her education despite scoring an impressive score of 399 out of 500, in her class 10th examination.
Her aspirations of pursuing science and becoming a doctor were crushed when her parents denied her the opportunity, and insisted that she opt for the arts stream instead, just because she fell 'one mark short' of their 400-mark expectation.
In an emotional interview that went viral recently, Khushboo shared her situation with tears in her eyes, revealing how her "brothers were allowed to study science", but she was not, despite her deep desire to become a doctor. Her emotional appeal resonated with people all across the internet, ultimately reaching the Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan.
Moved by her story, the minister took quick action, contacting the local district administration and instructing officials to ensure that she gets the complete support needed to continue her education in science. He also personally called Khushboo to reassure her that her dreams would not be left unfulfilled.

The Danapur District Magistrate also stepped in with the promise of providing full financial support for Khushboo’s education. Authorities are now working on helping her secure admission into the science stream and providing her with the necessary academic resources.
Expressing her joy and gratitude, Khushboo shared, “I am finally getting the chance to study biology. One day, I will become a doctor.”
This inspiring sequence of events highlights how powerful social media can be, the importance of educational equality, and how a collective voice can help break down any barriers to a young girl’s aspirations.
