A platform that crowdsources personal experiences of sexual violence and abuse in public spaces, Safecity is a webapp that pins areas to determine them safe or unsafe. They seek to answer the question - How safe is your neighbourhood? This data collected by them can be used to make institutions accountability and can aide improvement of public space safety especially for women.

Safecity started in Dec 2012, and ElsaMarie has been proactively taking it to other parts of the world including Kenya, Cameroon and Nepal. A fellow with Aspen New Voices, Vital Voices and Rotary Peace, ElsaMarie talks about her journey with She The People.
