The Indian version obviously has the south-Asian names and Indian touch to the narrative but the thriller part of the original storyline has been maintained. This film is the first psychological thriller done by Parineet Chopra who has mostly been doing romantic-comedies since her debut. The actor, in a very short span of time, has created a name for herself in the film industry. Even though not every single film by her has been a critics favourite but they sure have an entertainment value to them.

Here are five films by Parineeti Chopra that you can watch:

Meri Pyaari Bindu

Paired alongside Ayushmann Khurrana, Parineeti Chopra plays the role of a struggling singer who has eventually let go of her dreams and build new ones. The film comments on the reality of 'making-it-big' in the show business where most people end up compromising with the art and are forced to produce work that is liked by the audience. Chopra's character finds herself doing voice-overs for advertisements to earn a living. The film basically is a love story between two childhood best friends who get romantically involved for a brief time only to leave one of them heartbroken.

Hasee to Phasee

Another romantic comedy in which Chopra plays the role of a girl suffering from hyper-anxiety. Becoming the victim of her own intelligence, the female protagonist gets separated from her family and is villainised by her own loved ones. Eventually, she finds someone who understands her, her love interest played by Siddharth Malhotra, and there is a typical happy ending that most Bollywood fans look forward to.

Ishaqzaade

An Indian version of Romeo-Juliet where the lovers face the hurdles of religion and family rivalry. Arjun Kapoor plays the male lead role in the film. There is violence, romance, comedy and a lot of subdued commentary on the growing rift between the religions in India and the infamous pride that leads to so many deaths in the country. Honour-killing is what the film revolves its narrative around by the audience a brave love story.

Dawat-e-Ishq

In the film, Parineeti Chopra plays the role of a con artist who lures the male lead (played by Aditya Roy Kapoor). The story is based in Lucknow city of Uttar Pradesh and gives very colourful visuals of the old Lucknow and the richness of its culture.
