Girl Caught In Flash Flood Rescued: The State Disaster Response Force (SDRF) and police have a stellar example of bravery by rescuing a girl who was caught in a flash flood in Tawi river in Udhampur district of Jammu and Kashmir. The brave rescue operation has been caught on camera.

According to the video shared by News Agency ANI, a girl can be spotted trapped in floodwaters. She was given a life jacket to save her from drowning. Four people can be seen trying hard to pull her to safety. They are roped to each other. After a lot of efforts, the team finally brings her to the shore.
It took one hour for the police and State Disaster Response Force (SDRF) to rescue the girl. “After receiving the information about the minor girl getting caught in a flash flood, SDRF as well as our Jammu & Kashmir Police swung into action. She was safely evacuated after an hour-long rescue operation,” Udhampur SSP Sargun Shukla was quoted as saying by ANI.
The situation in Jammu is grim as it has been raining incessantly in the Union Territory for the past few days. In fact, the Meteorological department has predicted widespread intermittent rain across the Union Territory till July 30.
It is heartening to see authorities leaving no stone unturned to save people in distress during floods. In 2018, a similar video had surfaced when the Indian Navy carried out one of its most daredevil rescue operations. It rescued a pregnant lady who was about to give birth.
