A woman resident of the Sadar Kotwali area of Unnao, aged 22, had been missing for two months before her body was discovered buried on land owned by Samajwadi Party politician Fateh Bahadur Singh’s son, Rajol Singh.

She said that the two men were not allowing her to take water from the tap in the temple since October.

“A reward of Rs 25,000 was announced on information leading to the arrest of Mahendra in the wake of the incident in which another person has already been arrested and sent to jail, ” a police officer said.
