Who is Pratika Rawal?
Born on September 1, 2000, in Delhi, Pratika Rawal is a rising star in the Indian Cricket Team. Her father, Pradeep Rawal, is a BCCI Level-II umpire. At a very young age, she has established herself as an ace cricketer. Pratika grew up balancing her education and sport with equal commitment. An Ace Cricketer
Pratika’s cricketing path began in Delhi’s domestic circuit. In 2021, she turned heads with an unbeaten 165 off 155 balls against Assam in a List-A match held in Dehradun. Her performances in the domestic seasons were consistent: solid batting averages, frequent half-centuries, and leadership roles. She captained Delhi’s Under-23 T20 side in 2024, guiding them into the tournament’s final.
Her big opportunity came in December 2024, when she made her debut in an ODI for India against the West Indies. She made a solid start with the bat, scoring 40 runs, and even claimed her first ODI wicket, dismissing West Indies captain Hayley Matthews. In January 2025, she delivered a spectacular innings: 154 runs off 124 balls against Ireland, marking her first international century.
These early international outings have already produced several records, including being among the fastest Indian women to reach certain ODI run milestones. What sets her apart is her leadership traits shown through her domestic captaincy, along with her consistent contributions, not just in scoring but in staying steady under pressure.
