Will Disha Vakani Return To Taarak Mehta ka Ooltah Chashmah ?

Reports finally surface about actor Disha Vakani's future as Dayaben in the show. Disha Vakani had taken a maternity break from the show back in 2017 and fans have been awaiting her return since then.

Taarak Mehta's producer Asit Modi seems no different from the audience. He had also expressed his wish to see Disha back on Taarak Mehta stating- “Even I want Disha to return as Daya, and I am hopeful she will”. Disha Vakani, playing the most loved character, Dayaben, took a break from the show around 5 years back and hadn't returned to the show since. Recently reports of her return were all over the internet. However, nothing was confirmed by the creators or cast of the show.

Will Disha Vakani Return To Taarak Mehta?

Recent reports have revealed that Disha Vakani will not return to Taarak Mehta. Much to the audience's disappointment even though the character Dayaben will be returning to the show, Disha Vakani will not be. Ever since the trailer of the upcoming episode of  Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah was released social media, speculations were ajar about Disha Vakani aka Dayaben's return.

Disha Vakani Return To Taarak Mehta:

Asit Modi has given in on details about the future of Dayabens character stating- "Dayaben, the character, is all set to return but it's not Disha Vakani. Auditions for Disha's replacement are on and there will be a new actor coming in as Dayaben soon."

He added "The reason why it took us so long to replace Disha is that after getting married, Disha did work for some time. She then took a break and had a baby and continued her break to raise her child. She never quit the show. Humko umeed thi ki Disha will return."

Since actor Disha Vakani recently had another baby, she decided to not return to the show. The auditions for the new face of Dayaben is in full swing. However no actor has been finalised yet for the character. Audience will be seeing more of Dayaben, in her new face, in the upcoming days. The show Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah has completed over 13 years on the Indian television and still continues to rule the audience's hearts.
