Who is Supriya Sule ? Congress MP Shashi Tharoor and Supriya Sule have become the butt of many social media trolls after a video of the duo discussing a policy question in the Lok Sabha went viral. In the video, Shashi Tharoor can be seen leaning over to Supriya Sule to listen to what she was saying while Farooq Abdullah delivered his speech.

Shashi Tharoor has also taken to social media to address the memes that have been doing rounds. He tweeted, “”For all those who’ve been enjoying themselves at @supriyaSule’s &my expense over our brief exchange in the Lok Sabha, she was asking me a policy question because she was about to speak next. She was speaking softly so as not to disturb FarooqSahib, so i leaned over to hear her”. 2,388 people have retweeted it so far. 

In another tweet, he also posted lyrics of a popular song from Rajesh Khanna-Sharmila Tagore starrer ‘Amar Prem’ — ‘Kuch toh log kahenge, logon ka kaam hai kehna’, and tagged Sule.

  • Supriya Sule was born on 30 June in 1969 in Pune.
  • She is an Indian politician from the Nationalist Congress Party. At present, she is a Member of Parliament (MP) in the 17th Lok Sabha. She represents the constituency Baramati.
