Who Is Supriya Pilgaonkar? Actor Comes In Support Of Savita Bajaj

Actor Supriya Pilgaonkar has come forward to help the ailing actor Savita Bajaj, who has tested COVID-19 positive and is currently hospitalised after she complained of breathlessness. The 97-year-old is widely known for her performance in Beta Ho Toh Aisa, Nadiya Ke Paar, and Nazrana.

According to actor and Cine And TV Artiste's Association (CINTAA) executive committee member Nupoor Alankar, the veteran actor required monetary help to avail treatment.

“Supriya Pilgaonkar has come forward and helped and some committee members of CINTAA too have pitched in so that we can pay some portion of the hospital,” Alankar told TOI.

"She is a woman of huge self-respect and just yesterday some media persons landed up at the hospital stressed her out so much that she had to be shifted to the ICU,” she added.

-Supriya Pilgaonkar made her acting debut with the Indian television series Kshitij Ye Nahi.

-The actor rose to prominence with her performance in the television comedy-drama Tu Tu Main Main.

-She is married to actor Sachin Pilgaonkar, whom she met while shooting for a Marathi film Navri Mile Navryala.

-The couple tied the knot in 1985 at the age of 18 and they have a daughter Shriya Pilgaonkar, who is an actor too.

-The actor is also best known for her contribution to Marathi cinema and her performances in films such as Majha Pati Karodpati, Ashi Hi Banwa Banvi, and Aaytya Gharat Gharoba.

-Pilgaonkar was last seen in the 2020 release Suraj Pe Mangal Bhari alongside Manoj Bajpayee and Diljit Dosanjh.
