Who is Sunita Shirole? Veteran actor Sunita Shirole recently opened up how the pandemic has pushed her to dire situation and taken a toll on her health and financial well-being. Shirole is well-know for her part in the film Bajrangi Bhaijaan alongside Salman Khan.

Shirole revealed in an interview that she was working till the pandemic began, despite her advanced age and health-related issues. When COVID struck, the octogenarian used her savings to survive. She is 85 years old. Shirole made a public appeal for financial support. Recounting her better days Shirole said she never imagined to be in this position or lose all her money.

  1. Apart from Bajrangi Bhaijaan Shirole has worked in films like  Shaapit, Made in China, Kisna: The Warrior Poet and The Legend of Bhagat Singh. She appeared in television soaps like Mrs Kaushik Ki Paanch Bahuyein and Kis Des Mein Hain Meraa Dil.
  2. Along with her husband she had invested all her earrings in a business however a fire broke out in the warehouse and everything was lost. Her husband passed away in 2003.
  3. She said she regrets not having saved for a rainy day and owning a house in Mumbai.
  4. Shirole was hospitalised due to a kidney infection and knee issues. She also fractured her left leg during the course of the treatment. She has undergone an angioplasty earlier.
  5. Shirole wants to resume work, as she is in need of money, however she doesn’t know whether she will be able to walk again. The actor said “I had never imagined that I would ever be at crossroads in life.”
  6. She was living as a paying guest, but had to vacate as she had no money for rent. After this Cine And TV Artistes’ Association (CINTAA)  sent actor Nupur Alankar to help her out. Currently, Shirole stays with Alankar.
