Who Is Shenaz Treasury? Ishq Vishk Fame Opens Up About Prosopagnosia Diagnosis

On Tuesday, Shenaz Treasury posted on her Instagram Stories that she had received a prosopagnosia diagnosis. She added that in the past, she had trouble recalling people's facial features but could recall them by their voices. Shenaz gained notoriety for her performance as Alisha in the 2003 movie Ishq Vishk.

Shenaz wrote, “I have been diagnosed with prosopagnosia 2. Now, I understand why I've never been able to put faces together. It's a cognitive disorder. I always felt ashamed that I can't recognise faces. I recognise voices," adding in the next story, “Signs and symptoms of face blindness/prosopagnosia. 1. You have failed to recognise a close friend or family member, especially when you weren't expecting to see them. Yes, that is me. Takes me a minute to register who the person is. Sometimes even a close friend I haven't seen in a while."

Who Is Shenaz Treasury?

Her first modelling job came after she was identified by a photographer during her freshman year of college for a soft drink brand. Prior to being employed by MTV Networks Asia to work as a VJ on MTV's Most Wanted programme, she previously did advertising work.

She made her acting debut in the Telugu movie Eduruleni Manishi in 2001. She then appeared in the Bollywood movie Ishq Vishk in 2003, which led to a nomination for the best supporting actress at the Filmfare Film Awards. She's been writing travel stories for Cosmopolitan, Elle, and Femina her entire life because she loves to travel. Treasury is the host of the Travel Channel's Culture Shock programme and currently resides in Mumbai, India. On the American soap series One Life to Live, she was cast in a recurring role as Rama Patel in 2011. A few months later, she committed to the programme on a contract that lasted until its 2012 closure. She subsequently made a comeback in 2013 when the programme began airing its webisodes as a contract player.

Currently, Shenaz works as a travel blogger. Ishq Vishk, starring Shahid Kapoor, was her first Hindi film. She subsequently made appearances in a number of movies, including Umar, Aagey Se Right, Radio, Luv Ka The End, Delhi Belly, and many others.

She participated in The Nightly Show with Larry Wilmore on Comedy Central in the United States in 2015 as a contributor and sporadic panellist.

She plays Kumail Nanjiani's sister-in-law in the critically acclaimed independent movie The Big Sick in 2017. On October 28, 2018, she served as the host of the WWE Evolution All Women Special Wrestling Event.
