Who Is Reena Rai? Actor Survives The Deadly Deep Sidhu Accident

Who Is Reena Rai? In the car crash which claimed the life of an actor and social activist, Deep Sidhu, his female friend, who was accompanying him, Reena Rai survived. The crash took place yesterday at Kundli-Manesar-Palwal (KMP) Expressway near Delhi. The duo were on their way back from Delhi to Bathinda when the car rammed into a trailer.

Sidhu was accompanied by his friend, Rai. Last year, he was embroiled in a controversy with regards to the farmers' protest and named in the Red Fort violence which took place on Republic Day. It was also rumoured that he was in a relationship with Rai, who is a US-based actor and his co-star in the film Rang Panjab in 2018.

The Times of India reported that a video surfaced after the death of Sidhu, in which the woman was seen identifying herself as Reena Rai to the police investigating the case. In the video, she was lying on a hospital bed. It has also been reported that Rai allegedly escaped unhurt.

According to the media reports, the police said that Rai was sitting on the left side of the vehicle, which has not been heavily damaged. She was wearing the seatbelt and her airbag opened immediately, which saved her life. Although, Sidhu's airbag exploded.

The relationship between the two cannot be clarified until further confirmation. Sidhu in his Instagram post on May 1, 2021, shared a picture with Rai and wrote, "You stood by when the whole world was against, protected me, held my respect, gave me strength, prayed for my cause and freedom but what truly touched my heart and soul when you paused your life for me, you being there means a lot for me, your love and support is beyond any description, you are beyond my words and I truly feel blessed to have a soul like you in my life, I just wanna say I love you @thisisreenarai."

Who Is Reena Rai?

Going by her Instagram feed, she is from Mumbai and has won, the Miss South Asia in 2014. She was last seen in the film Rang Panjab with Sidhu and had also promoted the film along with him.

She has over 140 thousand followers on Instagram. It is also mentioned there that her upcoming film's title is Desi.
