Prajakta Koli who is popularly known as “Mostly Sane” will cover the World Economic Forum's annual meeting at Davos from the inside along with a delegation of YouTube stars. The Indian YouTuber will join 6 other YouTubers from across the globe to cover the 4-day annual summit.

Every year, celebrities, social activists, world leaders, business tycoons and CEOs meet in the beautiful Swiss town of Davos for the annual meeting of the World Economic Forum. The aim behind letting YouTube stars cover the event from the inside was to create a bridge to cover the gap between the delegates and those for whom the solutions are intended aka people of the world.

In the year 2023, a total of 52 heads of government and states along with approximately 600 CEOs from around the world will join the forum. This year the number of YouTube stars to cover the event increased from last year and will be the largest group of social media stars to cover the event ever, WEF’s annual meet 2023 will reach a combined audience of over 230 million.

Along with Prajakta Koli other YouTubers will cover the event which will including Adanna Steinacker, Luis Villar, Wodemaya and Nathalia Arcuri and Nuseir Yassin, who has covered the event in the past.

Who is Prajakta Koli?

  • Prajaka Koli is a 29-year-old, who was born and brought up in Mumbai. Her father Manoj Koli was a real-estate businessman whereas her mother Archana Koli was a language teacher.
    She studied at Vasant Vihar High School in Thane, Mumbai and graduated with a Bachelor of Mass Media from V. G. Vaze College of Arts, Science and Commerce in Mulund, which was affiliated with the University of Mumbai.
  • Ever since childhood, Koli aspired to be a radio jockey and began her career in media as an intern with Fever 104 FM, a radio station in Mumbai. After interning for about a year she got her first show, “Call Center” which didn't work out the way she imagined, so she later quit that job.
  • She got inspiration from One Digital Entertainment’s vice-president Sudeep Lahiri, to start a YouTube channel so she started her YouTube channel in February 2015.
    Her YouTube channel, Mostly Sane, has 6.8 million subscribers and is one of India’s biggest female-run comedy channels. Apart from it, she is an influencer and actor, with 7.3 million followers on Instagram.
  • Koli has collaborated with famous Bollywood personalities such as Hritik Roshan, Kareena Kapoor Khan, Nawazuddin Siddiqui, Vicky Kaushal and Kajol. She performed at the YouTube Fan Fest in 2018 held in Delhi and 2019 in Mumbai.
  • Koli was included in the Forbes list of 30 under 30, Outlook Business Magazine's list of Women of Worth and Entrepreneur India's list of 35 under 35.
  • In April 2022, she was featured on the cover of the BW Businessworld magazine as part of their Most Influential Women's list. She has also won Cosmopolitan's YouTuber of the Year award in 2019.
  • Koli has worked on a short film named Khayali Pulav which is about women's empowerment. She received a lot of love from the audience for her performance in the Netflix hit series Mismatched which was released in November 2020. Koli can also be seen in the Dharma Productions movie Jug Jug Jeeyo as Ginny, and also in Mismatched Season 2.
