Olivia Culpo: Airline Tells Ex-Miss Universe To Cover Up Before Boarding Flight

Who is Olivia Culpo: A renowned model, influencer and former Miss Universe 2012, Olivia Culpo recently found herself in a bit of a sitch when the airline she was travelling with allegedly told her to cover up. Culpo, 29, was in tights and a crop top draped over with a long black cardigan. She was reportedly jetting off to Mexico with her sister, who shared a video of how things unfolded.

The incident, shared on Instagram by Culpo's sister Aurora, has attracted massive attention and left many fans of the model questioning American Airlines for its policy.

Aurora shared she was called aside by the airline staff who allegedly told her to tell Culpo "that she needs to put a blouse on otherwise she can’t get on the plane," as quoted by Independent.

The American Airlines website, under passenger responsibilities, mentions the condition: "Dress appropriately; bare feet or offensive clothing aren’t allowed."

Aurora, in all support for her sister, said Culpo's clothes were "appropriate." To board the flight, however, Culpo had to don her boyfriend Christian McCaffrey's sweatshirt. The sisters, as per Aurora's stories, also came in contact with another woman at the airport whose skin show the airline did not seem to mind.

Culpo, who hails from Rhode Island, rose to global prominence in 2012 as a beauty title holder after consecutively bagging crowns at pageants. That year, she won Miss Rhode Island USA, Miss USA and Miss Universe.

Since her wins, Culpo has amassed a wide fan following across social media platforms. On Instagram, she boasts of five million followers to whom she gives glimpses into her life, photoshoots and travels. Culpo has been associated with several beauty brands as a model.

Culpo also has film credits to her name, most notably for I Feel Pretty, American Satan and Venus as a Boy. Fans also know her for starring in former partner Nick Jonas' music video for the song Jealous.
