Even before Nisha Rawal’s complaint and her husband's subsequent arrest, there have been rumours and allegations saying that the couple's marriage was falling apart. Previous reports have also stated that the couple was unable to spend quality time together as Rawal was in Mumbai to take care of their four-year-old son, while Mehra was busy shooting in Punjab. Who is Nisha Rawal?

• Television actor Nisha Rawal made her debut on television with Aane Wala Pal on Doordarshan. She ventured into Bollywood with films Rafoo Chakkar and Hastey Hastey.
• Before getting into acting, Rawal has already appeared in television commercials and advertisements for brands like Sunsilk, Coca-Cola and Fem Bleech. She has also appeared in a couple of music videos.
• Rawal also participated in the dance reality show Nach Baliye 5 with Karan Mehra in 2012.
• Karan Mehra and Nisha Rawal have been married since 2012. The couple has a four-year-old son named Kavish Mehra, who was born in 2017.
• According to ANI, actor and wife, Nisha Rawal filed a complaint against her husband with the Goregaon Police after an alleged brawl between them. Following her complaint, Mehra was arrested on the night of May 31.
• Adding to the arrest, a case of domestic violence was also registered against Karan Mehra. Mehra has reportedly been arrested under Section 336 (Act endangering life or personal safety of others), 337 (Causing hurt by act endangering life or personal safety of others), 332 (Voluntarily causing hurt to deter public servant from his duty), 504 (Intentional insult with intent to provoke breach of the place), 506 (Punishment for criminal intimidation) of the Indian Penal Code (IPC).
• After actor Rawal's complaint and the arrest, Karan Mehra has been released on bail.
